Handmade lampwork beads and unique jewellery

I am based in my home studio in beautiful North Devon. My inspiration surrounds me, both in my glasswork and my ceramics. I am 10 minutes walk from the beach and have views across the stunning North Devon countryside. I kind of fell into lampworking, having always dabbled in jewellery making, I saw an offer on freecycle for a jewellers bench and asked for it but it had already gone. The lady who was giving it away was the lovely Manda Muddimer of MangoBeads in Barnstaple. I looked at her website and saw tuition for beadmaking, 'how on earth do you make beads' I thought! Booked a taster session and here I am nearly 4 years on, still totally addicted to glass and the wonderful surprises it continues to give me.
I make some of my beads into jewellery and sell on a PartyPlan basis, coming to your home and setting up my display, all the pieces there are available to buy on the night or can be ordered in different styles or colourways. The turnaround for orders is usually 2 weeks but can vary depending on the season. Alternatively these pieces can be bought here or on etsy.
I sell the beads I haven't made into jewellery at bead shows around the country, on etsy and on this website, to other jewellery makers and designers.
All my beads are annealled overnight in a kiln to ensure strength and durability, but please remember that they are still made from glass and will react the way glass reacts to being dropped.

I am a self representing artist (SRA) number J-57
My other passions include, but are by no means limited to, my family, my friends, my dog, ceramics (I am half way through a ceramics degree), reading crime novels, and playing hidden object games on the computer (saddo!).
